This course covers:
This course offers a comprehensive set of resources that will allow students to learn and master the concepts necessary to become knowledgeable in the field. It includes 15.5 hours of on-demand video lessons, 1 article, 6 downloadable resources, and access across multiple platforms including mobile devices and TVs. After completion of the course, all users are rewarded with a Certificate of Completion. This reward shows prospective employers that an individual has taken their studies seriously and have validated their knowledge with a certified source.
The video format provides an engaging way to learn, and is supplemented by articles and additional reading material which help clarify any areas that were particularly difficult. With access on mobile devices and TVs ensures that no matter what device you use or where you’re at, you can study whenever it’s convenient for you while still having comprehensive learning material which covers all the relevant topics in the subject area. Whether if it's for personal growth or professional enhancement this course offers applicable skills backed up with tangible proof of completion with a certificate both upon finalizing the course but also available it afterward should someone need proof for job application processes down the line.
What you'll learn
Blender's powerful material nodes make it highly capable of quickly producing incredibly complex procedural textures. With this in mind, the Material Nodes Master course is an ideal way to master the art of creating procedural textures with Blender. Throughout this course, you will learn how to use the node editor to create and fine tune shaders that deliver stunning results. The Node Wrangler add-on speeds up workflow, providing fast access to various shortcuts within your node tree. Additionally, discover how to frame, colour code and restructure your nodes in the optimal way for easy readability.
Developed from a beginner level background, the course teaches in depth techniques, allowing one to manipulate vectors, process values and colours and generate intricate variation within their object textures. Students are able to experiment custom utilities as well as understand multiple nodes applicable for different outcomes . These could range from environment mapping with full Perlin Noise capabilities through a 'Modified' texture node or bringing back leave details onto surfaces after applying displacement. Ultimately by mastering Blenders' material nodes you’ll have an edge in creating dynamic materials not only for rendering but also game development assets.

Description
Learning how to create any material from scratch using nodes in Blender is a great skill for anyone willinig to invest the time and effort. By the end of this course, you’ll have created many different textures at all levels of difficulty, including mud shader, wood shader, and brick shader. Along the way you’ll pick up some advanced techniques that can be used to make any material you can think of. To get there more efficiently and quickly, we’ll also show you how to use the node wrangler addon as part of your workflow.
For those who prefer more creative approaches, there’s procedural texturing–where materials and shaders are created without using image-based textures–as an option too. Prior exposure to mathematics isn’t required either; with our guidance, anyone can effectively use nodes and generate interesting patterns or looks that aren’t possible with image textures alone. So if you want an effective approach to creating digital materials in Blender, consider mastering nodes!
This course is intended for:
If you want to create your own customizable procedural materials and textures for any Blender project.
The goal is to develop realistic shaders without being dependent on images.
If you want to expand your understanding of various utility nodes for math, vector math, and color and value manipulation.
If you are looking to enhance your procedural texturing skills, this is the right opportunity for you.
